I’m pleased to share that I will be speaking at the Project Management Institute Global Summit Series in Lisbon – one of PMI’s flagship events, bringing together project professionals, executives, and thought leaders from across industries to explore the future of project management.
In my session, “PMOs as Sustainability Hubs: A System Innovation Model for Sustainable Project Delivery,” I will present a model that Gianluca Abbruzzese and I developed at Lascò. This work focuses on how Project Management Offices (PMOs) can better support sustainable outcomes through a systems-thinking approach.
The session will explore how organisations can:
- Integrate sustainability considerations into PMO governance and decision-making
- (Re)design PMO services and tools through a systems-thinking lens
- Activate stakeholder networks and foster knowledge exchange
- Monitor and continuously improve sustainability performance
The Global Summit Series provides a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives, learn from a diverse range of sessions, and engage with peers from around the world. I’m particularly interested in the conversations around how our profession can contribute more effectively to long-term, systemic impact.
I also look forward to strengthening the connection between the PMI Southern Italy Chapter and the broader global PMI community, and to bringing back insights that can support ongoing initiatives locally.
If you will be attending the Lisbon event, I would welcome the opportunity to connect and continue the discussion.
